Hi! I’m Christian Green. I am a 24 year old multimedia journalist trying to explore why the world is the way it is.
I had always planned to be a scientist. It seemed like the job you get when you want to understand how the world works. But as I studied neuroscience at Wake Forest University, I stumbled into the world of journalism and I realized that it was an entirely different way to explore the world and to understand truths.
Since then, I have produced photo stories, short documentaries, audio stories, and written articles spanning topics from neuroscience to art, culture, education, and anything dealing with the human condition.
I went on to complete my Master’s degree in Neuroscience at Wake Forest University’s Graduate School for the Arts and Sciences, where I worked in the Laboratory for Complex Brain Networks and used graph theory along with machine learning to explore functional connectivity differences in the neural networks of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease compared to healthy aging adults.
My documentary and photojournalism work have been showcased in the Smithsonian Institute at the ACC Accelerate Festival, in the RiverRun International Film Festival, and in the WFU START Gallery.
I’ve produced several episodes for the award-winning podcast Darknet Diaries as well as the three-part series Calls for Clemency with the nonprofit Working Narratives.
I am currently an audio producer at Disco and a freelance science writer with Carolina Public Press.
