Hi! I’m Christian.

Growing up, I always planned on becoming a scientist. It seemed like the job you get when you want to understand how the world works. But as I studied neuroscience at Wake Forest University, I stumbled into the world of journalism and I realized that it was an entirely different way to explore the world and to find truths.

Since then, I have produced photo stories, short documentaries, podcasts, and written articles spanning topics from science to art, technology, health, and anything dealing with the human condition.

I went on to complete my Master’s degree in Neuroscience at Wake Forest University’s Graduate School for the Arts and Sciences, where I worked in the Laboratory for Complex Brain Networks and used graph theory along with machine learning to explore functional connectivity differences in the neural networks of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease compared to healthy aging adults.

My documentary and photojournalism work have been showcased in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History as part of the ACCelerate Festival, in the RiverRun International Film Festival, and in the WFU START Gallery.

I produced two seasons of the podcast Blind Landing as well as freelance production work for podcasts like Monocle’s The Urbanist, Darknet Diaries, and served as a correspondent for Times Radio.

I served as the lead health and science reporter and audio producer with Carolina Public Press from October 2020 through July 2021 before moving to Copenhagen, Denmark where I currently live.
